Fourth Gate: Instructions

Before you begin let me just remind you that the 4th Gate answers are for your eyes only.

Once you begin to answer the questions it is recommended that you don’t erase anything or cross anything out. Sometimes mistakes are really just clues to a hidden truth and erasing them doesn’t help you see the entire story. Don’t worry if you’ve got some bad secrets, we all do or we would be whole already. It just means you’re human. Allow me to stress one vital factor, it is extremely important that you are truly honest with yourself.

Honesty with yourself is the ladder that holds the steps towards a positive and fulfilling future. The past is the past and we must allow our 20/20 hindsight to clearly show us what happened. Our past was perfect at the time it happened. All you need to do is just write it down.

Be sure to write down your feelings during the various periods you think about. Feelings of guilt, resentments, hates, hang-ups, lusts, fantasies (whether unusual or not), as well as joy, love and excitement that you can remember. Write down your reaction to things that happened to you. It’s almost more important to write down feelings and reactions to events than the events themselves.

But no shortcuts, write the events down too.

As a suggestion, key events to remember might be times when your parents made you feel guilty or inadequate or taught you not to express your feelings or to cry. This might stem from their own inability to handle their feelings or to accept that we have ours. They were doing the best they could with the tools they had at their disposal so when you’re writing it down, be careful not to judge.

We are only historians recording the past just as it occurred right now.

If any question or answer awakens some painful or distressing memory, write it down even if it’s not an answer to a particular question. If any question or answer awakens some happiness, hope and recollections of safety and security write it down. Also, if you happen to feel that any statement you wrote is wrong, give yourself a note telling why you think it’s wrong. Don’t erase it.

Write down everything you can remember. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t remember everything, it’s hard to do and very few people, if any, can remember every event in their lives. If something comes up out of order that you remember later, just write it down when you do remember it. The list is yours alone, so if it’s a little jumbled up, that’s ok.

Please remind yourself throughout the process that all we are doing right now is getting the information down. Let this all unfold naturally. We’re not changing anything, not judging ourselves, not beating ourselves up over things that happened in the past. Not all of the questions you read will apply to you and don’t feel bad if some don’t fit. We wanted to be as thorough as possible to help everyone who needs the Five Gates Program succeed.

Take notice that the Fourth Gate questionnaire has special notes at the end of certain questions. That’s because this questionnaire is designed to give you a head start in taking you through the Fifth Gate. What you should do is first answer the questions without looking at the notes, then respond to the notes. Any feelings you have while actually responding to questions, write those down too.

It might seem to be a lot of information, but once you start to feel the healing freedom and empowerment of the Fifth Gate, once your life starts to blossom the way you have always wanted, it will all make sense.

It’s time to begin. Go through your questionnaire thoroughly and honestly in a quiet, calm room. Make a thorough and honest accounting of all of your beliefs, actions, feelings and thoughts at each stage of your life in chronological order. The order is important because that’s how you actually experienced them, one at a time, with each one building upon a previous occurrence.
